Why hello! - Weekend away and Teppanyaki!

Welcome to our first official blog post! As per our last post we thought it would be fitting to start our blog with the celebration of my 25th birthday.

Firstly, I would like to say how that I truly blessed with wonderful family, friends and boyfriend. They have made my quarter of a century celebration a memorable one.

The celebrations started on the weekend before my birthday where my boyfriend surprised me with a weekend away. Just a little about me anyone that knows me I am always "The Planner", so not knowing where we were going and what we needed was killing me! Once the Friday came I decided to let it go and leave it in his (hopefully) capable hands and I was definitely not disappointed.

The accommodation was absolutely stunning, a cabin style in a middle of a forest like setting. We stayed at "The Aria" lodge which was booked through Daylesford Accommodation, check them out here !

Below: The forest in the forest of our cabin, absolutely beautiful!

The Saturday morning the bf had organised a massage for both us at Daylesford Day Spa (check them out here) which I have been dying for since our trip to Thailand in November last year. I bought 2 body lotions from them (one Vanilla and one Mango) which smell amazing and super moisturising!

We followed this with some lunch on the main street and headed back to the cabin for some relaxing in front of the television and munched on some cake and chocolate bought from a shop from the main street. Unfortunately the name of this store escapes me, but it is the only chocolate shop.

On my actual birthday (May 15th) my family took me out to a Teppanyaki restaurant at Glen Waverley. I was a bit nervous as this is my first time teppanyaking where they actually throw food at your to catch and I have terrible co-ordination and also I was hungry but it was actually a lot of fun, even my parents enjoyed it!

I think it would be a good time to introduce to you my sisters who are also my fellow bloggers. Their own blog posts are coming soon!

This is my youngest sister Yi, 16 years old and very fashion forward! She seriously puts myself and my other sister to shame.

The second oldest is Lee. She 18 years old and in her first year of uni, she definitely has the legs in the family!

My outfit is very casual for my standards, something definitely roomy for the food!

My bracelets are two that I have been wearing nearly every day since I got them.  The one with the pendant is a Tiffany&Co that was given to me from my boyfriend and the sterling silver cuff is one that I customised from a Esty store, I got the cuff stamped with the quote "I am the master of my fate,  I am the captain of my soul". Check out her store here

Sorry there is a limited number of photos of the food, I lied, there is one picture. I always forget to take them as it is always eat first when it comes to food!

My cupcake birthday cake from The Cupcake Bakery!

I realise that this is a very long post so best I stop here for now. I will post the birthday surprise organised by my girlfriends in the next post

I don't particularly fuss about my birthday and I only like when it comes around because I do enjoy getting older (am I the only one?) but this year I was definitely spoilt way beyond my expectations and I am truly grateful!

Until next time!
